Our departure from the Port of Corfu gives a rare view of the Old Town, its two Venetian fortresses, the Kanoni peninsula, and Mon Repos Palace. We pass the Thesprotia region's capital, Igoumenitsa, and the small fishing village of Plataria. At the islands of Sivota, the ship enters the breathtaking Mourtos cave. During the Second World War, the Greeks hid their submarine "Papanikolis" beneath the lighthouse.
Here, the great naval battle between the Corfiots and the Corinthians took place in 432 B.C. Many of the vessels sunk in the fighting are still at the bottom of the sea.
We arrive at the picturesque Blue Lagoon, where Arabian pirates moored their ships in the Middle Ages. The anchor drops close to the beach, where you can swim in the exotic blue waters.
We continue our journey towards the magical mountainous port of Parga. Parga has an island character, rich history, natural beauty, romantic streets, and pathways with tall houses under the imposing remains of a Venetian castle. You have 2 hours and 30' free time to stroll through the enchanting alleys, to enjoy your lunch or drink, and to swim at the lovely beaches.
During your trip, you can sit in the sun and buy refreshments from the bar.
